Please read these terms of use before using the www.contentclips.com web site. By using this site, you signify that you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorized to use the Content Clips site or materials. We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check this page periodically for any changes. Your continued use of www.contentclips.com following the posting of any changes to these terms shall mean that you have accepted those changes.
Account Creation
Content Clips accounts are intended for teachers, parents, and other adults who work with children in educational settings. We anticipate that children will use this site through an account created by a teacher or parent. Children are not required to create accounts or provide personally identifiable information, and children under the age of 13 may not sign up for a Content Clips account.
Allowable Uses
This web site and all materials on it are the property of McLean Media. The only exceptions, which are so indicated, are copyrighted materials owned by others or materials that originate on an external web site and are included through a direct URL link. This agreement gives you no ownership rights to any materials on this site or on external linked sites. Inclusion of such links does not mean that McLean Media endorses these external web sites, nor is McLean Media responsible for their contents or use.
Whether they are owned by McLean Media or by other sources, copyright law protects all digital files available on this site. This site and all materials on it are intended solely for non-commercial, educational and personal use. You are licensed to use the materials online within the Content Clips site. This license is not exclusive to you, and you may not transfer it. You may also download or print files for offline classroom use, as long as you give proper credit to the copyright owner and/or keep intact all copyright or other proprietary notices. Rights information necessary for providing proper credit for clips is included in the metadata record for most files. You may use the tools within the Content Kit provided on this site to organize clips into sets and to create customized activities. You also may allow students to use your personal activities and content sets within the Content Clips site.
Restrictions
Any commercial use of this site or the materials it contains is strictly prohibited. You may not copy these materials for any purpose other than classroom or personal use. Modification or use of materials on this site for any other purpose, including incorporation into any other web site are a violation of McLean Media's copyright and other proprietary rights. Except as otherwise permitted under copyright law or described above, you may not sell, assign, sublicense, or otherwise transfer these materials, publish them for personal gain, or remove any copyright or trademark notice, without the express written permission of McLean Media and the copyright owner.
Prohibition of Inappropriate Content
This site gives you the ability to create new activities and web links and to enter titles, descriptions, or other text annotations, which may be visible to others, including children who may view materials through your account. You acknowledge that any text, titles, descriptions, other annotations that you enter when creating or editing personal clips, sets, or activities express your own views and opinions and not those of McLean Media, and that McLean Media will not be held liable for your actions. McLean Media has the right to remove, edit, or move any content at any time should they see fit. McLean Media also retains the right to terminate your service at any time for any reason.

The Zelestra Network Services Identity Manager is a third party security service which provides user account management for website providers. The following paragraphs of this user agreement are the Terms and Conditions that pertain to your use of the Identity Manager and are separate agreement between you and Zelestra.
You must be at least 13 years old to obtain or use an Identity Manager account. You agree not to use, provide a link to, or promote any offensive, abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, your service provider contacted, and appropriate civil authorities informed. The IP address of all logins, entries, and uploads are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that Zelestra has the right to remove, edit, or move any content at any time should they see fit. You agree that Zelestra retains the right to terminate your service at any time for any reason. You acknowledge that any and all user or other content provider supplied information on this website or any website that is linked directly or indirectly to or from this website expresses the views and opinions of the author and not of Zelestra, and hence Zelestra will not be held liable.
You agree to any and all information (including passwords), that you have entered or uploaded to the Identity Manager website, being stored in a database. Zelestra cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. Neither Zelestra nor any other party involved in creating, producing or delivering the Identity Manager website is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of the Identity Manager website.
